If you would like to celebrate a baptism or wedding, or mark the death of a loved one, we would be happy to work with you to arrange a service. You do not have to be a member of St. Clement's church community to celebrate your life events here. Please feel free to discuss with us means by which we can weave inter-faith prayers or observances into our Christian service if you or your family has a mixed religious heritage. For those people wishing to be married or who seek baptism into the Christian faith, please email the clergy team to arrange to meet with you for such prepatory discussions as are appropriate.
In July 2016, the Anglican Church of Canada Synod voted to change the church's marriage canon to include all who may be lawfully married, including same-sex couples. By canon law, this motion must once again pass a two-thirds majority at the next Synod gathering in July 2019 before being enacted; you can read our Bishop's letter about the Synod vote here. In the meantime, our diocese has long been offering services of blessing for same-sex couples. Please contact us if you would like to learn more.
If you would like to talk to our priest or a member of our pastoral care team for spiritual companionship or spiritual support for a trauma or a transition in your life, such as an illness, retirement, divorce, or any other reason, please email our clergy team right here.
If you are interested in other means by which we try to care for our local or global community, please see our Action and Awareness page.
