We have the happiest of news to share - Jenn Ashton will be ordained a deacon on Tuesday, May 26!

Jenn's discernment for ordination began almost three years ago, and since that time it has taken Jenn on a rich, ever-expanding journey involving the hands-on help and prayers of many people at St. Clement's and beyond. Jenn's learning has taken many forms, including with her St. Clement's parish discernment group, at an internship at St. James in Vancouver, through ongoing coursework, and with her growing experience in many areas of leadership.

Jenn is home-based by necessity; accordingly, Archbishop John and St. Clement's clergy will be travelling to the Sunshine Coast for a small-but-lovely ordination service at St. Hilda's in Sechelt on Tuesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. The ordination will be live-streamed, and everyone is heartily invited to be with Jenn online for this blessed occasion. The Zoom link is below.

Jenn will continue to minister from her home in Roberts Creek, offering herself as our Indigenous Ministry lead and our online deacon in the digital world.

ORDINATION GIFT FOR JENN

Your tax-deductible donation to Jenn's ministry is welcome; funds will be used to purchase a deacon's stole for Jenn's liturgical use, with any extra supporting Indigenous ministry initiatives at St Clement's. Options are to donate by cheque or cash (marked "Jenn's gift") in the offering plate or office.
