Our priest, the Reverend Helen Dunn, is taking an extended study leave from June 01-August 31. Priests in the Diocese of New Westminster who are employed full time are eligible to apply for an extended study leave every four years. We are delighted that Helen has this opportunity in this fifth year of her incumbency at St Clement’s. You can read more about what Helen will be doing on her leave and how it will benefit the Parish at www.stclementschurch.ca/news/helens-extended-study-leave

Helen will return to St Clement’s on Sunday September 6th. In her absence, please contact Deacon Peggy for pastoral concerns. To arrange a home communion or healing prayer visit, please contact one of the deacons or lay pastoral visitor Jason. Wardens Lucy and Donna are available for queries related to parish governance. Please continue to direct questions related to music to Lynley, parish administration to Beth, and Indigenous ministry concerns to Jenn.

During Helen’s leave, the Reverend Emilie Smith will cover Sunday duties, with the exception of Sunday July 12 when Emilie is away and the Reverend Claude St-Denis will preach and preside. Our established roster of St Clement’s preachers will continue throughout the summer and will include Deacon Peggy, Jenn Ashton, and Allison Williams. Please note: Emilie is available for Sunday supply only. General inquiries related to pastoral care, weddings, or funerals can be directed to clergy@stclementschurch.ca

Your prayers are welcome. We will commend this time of study to God through a community Laying on of Hands on Sunday May 31st as we ask God’s blessing for Helen and for St Clement’s. We invite you to send a word of encouragement or thanks to our lay leaders, staff, deacons, and members over the next few months. We are blessed with a wonderful community at St Clement’s, people who show up for each other and our neighbourhood in many and varied ways every day. Thank you!
