The Holy Spirit was on the move on Sunday and she touched down at St. Clement's Pentecost celebration in all sorts of ways! Alongside Archbishop John we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the North Vancouver District Fire Department for a special blessing on the work they do tackling literal fires while we celebrate the metaphorical fire of the Holy Spirit! Our "Every Child Matters" lanterns, which will live in St. Clement's, also received an episcopal blessing.
We then moved indoors for a Pentecost Eucharist that included two confirmations (congratulations, Henry and Allison!) as well as lots of youth participation throughout the liturgy. We commend to you our recorded service in the hope that you might be uplifted by word and music, and by Archbishop John's reminder in the sermon that while we recognize the work of the Holy Spirit on the Feast of the Pentecost, that same Spirit has moved over Creation and in the hearts of people since time immemorial, and still does today - if we but let it. Amen!
