On Sunday September 13th, we will welcome Saffron Briggs to St. Clement's. Saffron will be with us for one month as ministry intern. She will take part in preaching, bible study, pastoral care and more. If you'd like to invite Saffron to visit your ministry group, please let Helen know. Let's show Saffron what life is like at St. Clement's!
Saffron is traveling over from the UK, where she is currently studying theology in Cambridge as an ordinand in training for the Church of England. Having grown up in a home church, she brings a big heart for creative local worship that makes space for people on the fringes. She is here to experience the Anglican tradition from another angle, particularly excited to learn from local Truth and Reconciliation initiatives and the journey toward right relations with Indigenous communities. Saffron's biggest pastime is powerlifting, though she mostly loves the gym for all the interesting conversations that start when people find out she is a priest in training! In her downtime, Saffron can usually be found with her husband exploring a local bakery, restaurant, or food court, always on the hunt for new foods to try.
