All ages are very welcome at this Eucharist service when we recall the final meal Jesus had with his disciples where he washed their feet and instituted the sacrament of the eucharist. Anyone who wishes to have their feet washed may do so. At the end of the service, we remove (strip) all of the furnishings and hangings from the church, put them away, and depart from the church in silence. This symbolizes the stripping of everything from Jesus (his dignity, friendships, and physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing) as he made his way to the cross. Our guest preacher this year is lay eucharitsic visitor, Jason Rajan.
Those who would like to gather for a simple supper before the service are very welcome to do so. We will gather at 5:30 pm in the Parish Hall for soup and buns. A couple of members from the congregation will share a story from their faith journey.
Parking is available in the lot next to the church. This service will be live streamed.
