A funeral service for Eleanor Parmelee will be held at St. Clement’s Anglican Church, 3400 Institute Road, North Vancouver, BC V7K 2K9 in Lynn Valley, on Saturday, April 25th at 10:00 AM. In place of flowers a donation in Eleanor's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

A livestream will be available at www.stclementschurch.ca/live as well as on Facebook.

Note: Incense will be used at the end of this service.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Balmoral House, 960 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC, V7J 3V6.

Eleanor Isabell Parmelee (née Crossley) of North Vancouver passed away peacefully on April 15 at the age of 93. Born October 19, 1932, in Ottawa, Eleanor lived a dynamic life defined by strength, beauty, and deep devotion to her family. Her careers included sales, modeling, and business administration. She was also the founder of the Ottawa Gymnastics Club, Vice President of the Ontario Gymnastics Federation, and worked with Sport Canada before embracing her most cherished role as a mother. In later years, she devotedly cared for her mother, Mary (Mollie) Crossley, until her passing at age 98.

She welcomed international students into her home, had a beautiful singing voice, and was known for hosting unforgettable parties. Her love of travel took her all over the world, and at the age of 92, she began acting in television commercials. Eleanor was predeceased by her father, Kenneth; her mother, Mary; and her brother, Ronald. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Geoffrey (Carol), Margot (Glenn), Gail (Sam), Sandi, Nancy, and Lynda (Robert); her brother, Bill Crossley; and her grandchildren, Maya, Ryan, Lanaya, and Owen.
