Bukhari was sponsored way back when we started our REST sponsorship journey in 2015! He arrived in 2016 and has just celebrated 10 years in Canada! He is now a Canadian Citizen. Bukhari is originally from Somalia and has now married a lovely Somali woman named Balqiisa. They are expecting a baby in November. I have included a couple pictures of the beautiful couple. They are very excited, of course. Balqiisa and Bukhari are moving to a new apartment in October that will be big enough for all three of them. They do need some things for their new place, so if anyone has nice condition furniture to donate, please let me know and send along a picture so they can decide.
Since these two are new to parenthood, they do not have any baby stuff! Wilna Parry and I are collecting funds to get them as many of the necessities as we can. Excellent condition used items are most welcome, as well as new. If you would like to purchase or donate something directly, rather than sending cash for the funding pool, please let me know what you have so that we don't double up. Funds can be sent to my email by e-transfer to me (see above) or Wilna Parry (wilnaparry at gmail.com). Gift cards or cash for the couple are also welcome and can be given to Wilna Parry.
