There were many things to celebrate at our tropical fundraiser - it was our first parish dinner since the beginning of the pandemic, a fun way to welcome Helen, and (as it turns out) a great way to raise money for our current building revitalization projects!

Larry Terrace, our MC and donation cheerleader, announced on Sunday morning that the dinner had raised over $13,000 toward our upgrades and maintenance plans. This is a tremendous investment from the congregation, and it represents the confidence you have in the work and ministry of St. Clement's. A very sincere thank you goes out to everyone who donated time and energy to making the dinner happen, and to all who dug a bit deeper to make the fundraising component a great success.

Special thanks to Lynda Faivre-Duboz for putting the wheels in motion over the past number of weeks, and to Sandra Martin for stepping in when Lynda was unfortunately called out of town. John Stowe sourced out the seafood and was again King of the BBQ, and Alison Patrick was a tireless Queen of the Kitchen, spending hours along with her crew making sure the dishes kept moving. Thank you as well to the set-up and clean-up crews, and many others who put so much time into this wonderful evening of fellowship!

Next up is our silent auction featuring works of art - of all kinds! If you have a painting, scupture, sewing, musical or writing talent to donate, please speak with Sandra!
