REST FEST on a quest!

The Regional Ecumenical Sponsorship Team (REST) is pleased to announce a regional fundraiser that will be held at St. Clement's on Saturday, June 2. In preparation, we're asking folks to roll up their sleeves and put the 'fun' in 'fun'draising!

Lynley Lewis has organized a slate of musicians, including our Stephen King, to perform, and also featured will be a silent/live auction, bake sale, and a beer/wine bar. Leah Ensing and Peggy Trendell-Jensen are coordinating the silent auction, and Wilna Parry the baked goods sale, so if you can contribute talent or treasure in those areas, please be in touch! Coordinators are still being sought for clean up, beer and wine sales, and treasurer. 

Auction items might include services, babysitting, gardening, gift cards, hand-crafted items, or ?? 

REST's eight churches have raised almost $145,000 to date, and we have been proud to welcome a number of refugees to Vancouver. We have pledged a sponsorship for seven more people over the next two years, and so a further $27,000 is required. We hope to make a big dent in that number on June 2!
