Lynne has been spending her study week representing the Anglican Church as an ecumenical partner at the General Council of the United Church of Canada in Oshawa Ontario.
I am learning a lot as I hear about United Church engagement around issues of shared concern with us as Anglicans, such as dismantling racism, implementing recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and self-determination of Indigenous people in the church, finding meaningful ways to be inclusive of and celebrating diversity in congregations (race, intercultural, differing abilities, youth, gender identities, etc.)
This photo captures the global and ecumenical partner delegation from the Monday session. Thanks for representing the Anglican church at this important gathering, Lynne!
