Gloria Dei Lutheran Church will be holding a “Together for Ukraine” dinner on May 11, 6:00pm-9:00pm at 1110 Gladwin Drive, North Vancouver. All funds raised will go to support humanitarian aid for Ukraine through the Canada Ukraine Foundation and Help us Help summer camps for children victims of the war.
Immerse yourself in the rich flavors and traditions of Ukraine as you are served an exquisite array of authentic Ukrainian cuisine, prepared with love and care by talented Ukrainian chefs. The fundraising dinner was conceived by the newcomer Ukrainian women of Gloria Dei. The evening will feature authentic Ukrainian cuisine, cash wine/beer bar, bandura music and folk songs by vocal ensemble Družba (Friendship). Canadian actor and activist, Andrew Petriew will be the guest speaker. He will bring a fresh perspective on the situation in Ukraine from his recent trip where he led a therapeutic Spring camp for children victims of the war.
