Did you know that our Sylvia Enga is a mover and shaker with the ACW (Anglican Church Women)? There's all sorts she can tell you about the outreach work the ACW accomplishes, thanks to the involvement of women throughout the Diocese.
For example, one of the ACW's longstanding ministries is sending "bales to the North" - shipments of clothing and other needed items to families. These provisions continue to be much valued by their recipients, who live in towns that may be hundreds of icy miles from cities like Whitehorse. That's a long way to drive in wintertime to replace children's clothing or bedlinens!
Syvlia would love to introduce people to the ACW at its Open House on Tuesday, December 6. She has room for five added people in her van, so please be in touch with her if you would like to take part in this outing. You'll be sure to meet some fine people!
