Sunday celebrates saints and souls

It was a full and festive Sunday this week, as Larry Terrace was inducted into the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster during our celebration of All Saints.

We were delighted to welcome many of Larry's friends and family members, listen to Elizabeth share her thoughts and read the official citation, and take in the Archbishop's sermon as narrated by André. The medallion was placed on Larry by his grandson Stephen, and wine, cheese, crackers and baked goods were presented to help the family continue the celebration at home.

Afterward, we remembered the souls of our departed dear ones at a short service and reading of names in the front garden. The Christ candle was processed to the memorial garden, and from this flame were lit the tealights people placed in memory of their loved one. We were grateful for the beautifully sunny autumn weather that blessed all assembled.
