State of emergency declared by the Squamish Nation

A state of emergency has been declared by the Squamish Nation after deaths from toxic drug supply. Please join in praying: 

"Great big Creator God, we pray that you may shine down your light on our Squamish Nation Neighbours and family as they traverse the toxic drug crisis state of emergency, where in the past few weeks we have lost so many voices. We pray for all those affected, for the Nation leaders and emergency personnel and caregivers who will be working closely with the Nation to implement new plans to help safeguard its Members. Please give us strength to do our part in working toward decolonization and reconciliation with our Indigenous neighbours in order to help heal the past. Please shine your light on the Squamish Nation and alleviate the pain and suffering of your children, who have been through so much, and who continue to traverse this life without stability. Give them a solid floor to stand on and please fill them with your love as a guiding light in the darkness. Amen"
