Joanne Graham thought that she'd finally seen the end of the decades-old carpet in the sanctuary - but the appreciative congregation couldn't help but give her a framed square of the old carpet for posterity. On Sunday, Joanne and others who played a role in the new carpet installation cut a ribbon celebrating this latest milestone in the church's upgrades and renovations. (Click here for the countdown video!)

As Helen said in the presentation, it is one thing to choose a new carpet colour one's self - it's a whole other matter to reach consensus by committee! Joanne was thanked for her perseverence throughout what was a lengthy process, which included making decisions regarding the riser on which the altar and choir sit. With that reconstruction accomplished and the new carpet installed, the sanctuary space has a fresh new look and provides more open space for pageants, concerts and other uses.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep our building evolving for the needs of the parish and community, through your donations of time, talent and treasure!
