A Bible Study for anyone interested in going behind the scenes to look at
how Jesus was understood in his Jewish context. This four-week study will be led by New Testament scholar, Jenny Read-Heimerdinger. Sessions will be held 'live' in-person at St Clement's. A recording of the session will be made available on our YouTube page and through our parish newsletter

3. Jesus and Jewish expectations
a. ‘You are Peter’ (Mt. 16.13-20): a hard-headed disciple
b. ‘The Road to Emmaus’ (Lk. 24.13-25): Jacob’s Ladder all over again

21st December 2022
4. Israel and the Church
a. Judas (Lk. 22.47-48): a traitor? really?
b. The replacement of Judas (Ac. 1.15-26): a rigged vote in pious disguise
