Bible study

Small parish groups meet weekly to share their questions and thoughts on the scripture readings from the Sunday service. The readings are taken from the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL), which is widely used throughout the world by a variety of Christian denominations. Each Sunday, in a three-year cycle that follows the seasons of the church year, the RCL includes a reading from the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament), a Psalm, an Epistle reading (a letter to the early church) and a reading from one of the New Testament Gospels.

Our Bible study groups include:

  • Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m., except in summer. Everyone is welcome; please contact Dave Parry for details.

  • Wednesday mornings 7:30 to 9 a.m., except in summer. Eucharist (or, on occasion, Morning Prayer) in the chapel is followed by a light breakfast and Bible study. Everyone is welcome.

  • Friday mornings, 8 a.m. Men's Bible Breakfast. A group of men meets weekly throughout the school year at The Eighties restaurant (14th & Lonsdale) for Bible study and fellowship.  Contact Ken Hanney for details by email or (604) 985-6876.
