It has long been a practice to prepare for the joy of Easter by undertaking contemplative practices or soul-stretching actions during Lent, the 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter (46 if you include Sundays!)

Philippa and Peggy have researched a number of resources to consider for your individual, family or small group Lenten practice. These will be on display after church on February 16; you are invited to peruse and borrow the books (there is a wide variety!), sign up for a study guide or devotional so we can make a copy for you, or have a look at some of the free online resources that you might like to sign up for. There's something for everyone, starting with an Ash Wednesday labyrinth reflection to set your mind toward your Lenten goals.

One option is to attend a gathering with some of your fellow parishioners. Philippa and Peggy will be hosting three after-church sessions in which we will watch a short TED talk together, with discussion to follow. Dates for those meet-ups will be March 1, 15 and 29. Bring a snack for you lunch and stay for the chat!
