Sacraments & Services

A sacrament is “an outword and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace”.  For example, receiving the bread and wine at communion is an outward sign of God nourishing us.

Anglicans believe that God’s grace works through sacraments to strengthen us for the transitions and commitments of life.

We would be pleased to speak to you about any of the services, even if you just want to make some inquiries about what is involved.  Contact Reverend Lynne McNaughton at or (604) 780-1420.

Baptism is the rite of initiation into the church fellowship. It takes place in the context of a Sunday morning service. We baptise both infants of Christian parents, and adults who have come to Christian faith, but have not ever been baptised.  Some basic preparation is required.

Funerals and Memorial Services
Funerals and memorial services can be arranged in consultation with the Priest. You don't have to be a member of the St. Clement's parish.

Marriage and Weddings
If you're planning a wedding and are interested in being married at St. Clement's, please call and speak to us as soon as possible.

It is important not only to plan for the wedding itself, but to prepare for marriage. This takes place over a series of meetings with the priest, as well as participation in a community marriage preparation course.
